Privacy Policy
OVIS ALMS FOUNDATION
Effective Date: November 5, 2026
Last Updated: November 5, 2026
1. Introduction
Ovis Alms Foundation ("OAF," "the Foundation," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to respecting your privacy and handling personal information responsibly.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices available to you.
The Foundation supports charitable activities and programs, including GraManna, an initiative built around generosity, meaningful assistance, and gratitude.
This Policy covers the Foundation's public website, its contact and notification services, State Requests, and information we receive in connection with donations made through our authorized channels.
GraManna is a separate application with its own program functions. Its account, donation, and charitable assistance activities may be subject to additional privacy notices and program rules. Those notices will address information practices specific to the application.
2. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with the Foundation. Some information comes directly from you, while limited technical information is processed automatically when you use our website.
Information You Provide
Contact inquiries. When you use our Contact form, we collect your email address and the message you submit. We use this information to review your inquiry and respond when appropriate.
State Requests. If you express interest in GraManna becoming available in a particular U.S. state, we record the state you select, a browser-derived identifier, and the time of your request. The identifier helps us recognize repeat requests from the same browser. It does not establish your identity or represent a verified individual.
Notification subscriptions. When you sign up for GraManna announcements, we collect your email address, selected notification preferences, applicable state selection, and consent information. We also maintain records associated with email confirmation, preference changes, unsubscribe requests, and communication delivery.
Donations. When you contribute through an authorized donation service, we may receive information needed to acknowledge and administer your donation. This can include your name, contact details, donation amount, transaction date, and related records, depending on the service and the information provided.
Other communications. If you contact us directly about our charitable activities, programs, or services, we may retain the information reasonably necessary to address your inquiry.
Please avoid including sensitive personal information in general contact messages unless it is necessary for the matter you are contacting us about.
Information Processed Automatically
Our website also processes limited technical information needed for security and normal operation.
This may include browser-recognition identifiers, cookies, network information, request details, timestamps, and technical records associated with system activity or errors.
For example, our Contact system processes network information, including IP addresses, to help detect spam and prevent misuse. Its abuse-prevention mechanism uses temporary derived identifiers rather than maintaining a permanent list of raw visitor IP addresses.
Additional technical records may be generated by hosting and infrastructure services according to their applicable operations and configurations.
We do not collect browsing information for targeted advertising or commercial behavioral profiling.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to carry out the activities for which it was provided and to support the Foundation's legitimate operations.
When you contact us, we use your information to understand your message and respond. When you submit a State Request, we record your interest and help prevent duplicate counting. When you subscribe to notifications, we use your information to manage the announcements you have requested.
Donation-related information helps us administer contributions, maintain financial records, provide applicable acknowledgments or receipts, and fulfill our charitable and legal responsibilities.
We also use appropriate information to:
- Maintain website functionality and reliability.
- Protect our services from fraud, spam, and unauthorized activity.
- Respect communication preferences and unsubscribe requests.
- Maintain necessary consent, financial, security, and operational records.
- Meet applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell personal information or use it to build advertising profiles.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website uses a limited number of functional cookies to support essential features and protect visitor interactions.
A browser-recognition cookie helps us identify repeat State Requests from the same browser. This cookie can remain in your browser for up to one year unless you delete it sooner.
When notification-management features are available, a separate temporary session cookie may be used to support authorized access. These sessions last no longer than 30 minutes and may expire sooner.
We use appropriate cookie security protections, including restrictions on script access and secure transmission over HTTPS.
We do not use advertising cookies, advertising pixels, or cross-site behavioral advertising trackers on our website.
Some browsers provide a "Do Not Track" setting. Our website does not use advertising tracking regardless of that setting. Functional cookies and essential security processing may still operate.
We may use aggregated operational information to understand how our services are functioning, investigate problems, and improve reliability. This is separate from tracking individuals for advertising purposes.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may affect features that depend on browser recognition or authorized sessions.
5. Donations and Payment Information
Ovis Alms Foundation accepts charitable donations through authorized channels that support its mission and programs.
Our public website directs donors to an external donation service rather than processing payment-card transactions directly on the Foundation's website.
The OAF Website does not itself collect or store payment-card details entered through that external donation service. The payment provider handles those details under its own applicable privacy and security practices.
Depending on the donation service, the Foundation may receive transaction information needed to administer contributions, acknowledge donations, maintain accounting records, address transaction questions, and comply with legal requirements.
GraManna is also being developed to support charitable participation through its application. Information collected through those application-specific donation functions will be addressed by the applicable GraManna privacy notices and program rules.
We do not sell donor information or share it for third-party behavioral advertising.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We also do not share personal information with third parties for targeted behavioral advertising.
We work with authorized service providers that help us operate the Foundation and its services. Depending on the activity involved, these providers may support:
- Website hosting and technical infrastructure.
- Database hosting and information storage.
- Donation and payment processing.
- Email communications and notification delivery.
- Security, fraud prevention, and operational support.
We limit the information shared to what is reasonably necessary for the service being provided. We also take reasonable steps to work with providers that maintain appropriate privacy and security practices.
The Foundation's website and GraManna may exchange information through authorized backend connections. For example, a State Request or notification subscription submitted through GraManna may be processed by the Foundation's corresponding service.
Administrative reporting shared with GraManna uses aggregate information rather than exposing individual notification subscribers' email addresses or private access credentials.
We may also disclose personal information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the safety, rights, security, or legitimate interests of the Foundation, its users, or others.
7. Email Notifications and Communication Preferences
You may choose to receive announcements about GraManna, including its web availability, mobile application releases, or availability in a selected U.S. state.
These subscriptions are voluntary. We collect your email address and selected preferences with your consent.
Where email-confirmation services are enabled, confirmation helps establish that the person subscribing has access to the email address provided. Applicable announcements are limited to eligible, confirmed subscriptions and their recorded preferences.
Our email service providers process information needed to send and administer messages, such as recipient addresses and delivery status. Depending on their configuration, providers may also generate information about email opens or link interactions. We do not use such information for targeted advertising.
You may manage your notification preferences or unsubscribe using the available website tools and links provided in applicable messages.
Unsubscribing prevents further eligible communications for that subscription, although a message already authorized or in transit may not be recalled.
We retain appropriate consent, preference, withdrawal, and suppression records to honor your choices, maintain accurate records, and prevent unwanted communications.
8. How Long We Keep Information
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to serve the purposes for which it was collected, carry out our charitable activities, meet legal obligations, and protect the Foundation's operations.
Not all information needs to be retained for the same length of time.
For example, financial records may need to be kept for accounting, tax, or audit purposes. Subscription and consent history may be retained to document communication choices, while limited security records may be necessary to prevent misuse or investigate incidents.
Unsubscribing from notifications does not automatically erase every related historical record. Certain information may remain necessary to respect your request and prevent further unwanted communications.
You may request deletion of personal information we maintain about you. We will review the request in light of applicable law, legitimate recordkeeping obligations, security needs, and operational requirements.
When information is no longer needed and is eligible for deletion, we will take reasonable steps to dispose of it securely.
9. How We Protect Information
We maintain technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, disclosure, and loss.
Depending on the service, these measures include restricted access, server-side validation, protections against unauthorized requests, secure communication methods, and safeguards for credentials and sensitive information.
We limit access to personal information to authorized individuals and service providers who need it for legitimate organizational purposes.
No website or electronic information system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We therefore recognize the importance of maintaining safeguards and responding appropriately when problems arise.
If we become aware of a security incident involving personal information, we will assess the circumstances, take reasonable steps to contain and address the incident, and provide notifications to affected individuals or authorities when required by applicable law.
10. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
You may contact Ovis Alms Foundation to ask what personal information we maintain about you or to request that information be corrected or deleted.
We will review privacy requests in accordance with applicable law and the Foundation's legitimate security, operational, and recordkeeping responsibilities.
For your protection, we may need to verify your identity or your authority to make a request before providing access to information or making changes.
Some requests may be limited by legal obligations, necessary historical records, or the rights and privacy of others. When we cannot fulfill a request in full, we will respond as appropriate under the circumstances and applicable law.
If you subscribe to GraManna announcements, you can also use the available notification-management tools to update your choices or unsubscribe.
You do not need a GraManna account to contact the Foundation about your website privacy information.
Privacy requests may be sent to:
contact@ovisalmsfoundation.org
11. Children's Privacy
The Ovis Alms Foundation website is intended for a general audience. It is not directed toward children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information directly from children under 13 without an appropriate lawful basis.
GraManna's registration policy establishes a minimum age of 13. Children under 13 are not eligible to register for a GraManna account. Additional privacy and safety protections may apply to users who are 13 through 17 years old, consistent with the application's governing rules.
If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to the Foundation, please contact us at contact@ovisalmsfoundation.org.
We will review the matter and take appropriate action under applicable law.
12. International Visitors and Geographic Availability
Ovis Alms Foundation is based in the United States, but visitors from other countries may access our public website.
Information collected through our website may be processed or stored in the United States or in other locations where authorized service providers operate, subject to applicable legal requirements and appropriate safeguards.
We respect applicable privacy rights and will review requests concerning personal information in accordance with relevant legal obligations and our established privacy practices.
Access to the Foundation's website does not guarantee access to GraManna programs or charitable assistance.
Program participation, geographic availability, and eligibility are governed by GraManna's applicable program rules.
13. Links to Other Websites
Our website may link to outside services, including donation platforms and resources that support our charitable activities.
When you follow a link to an external website, that service may collect or process information under its own privacy policy and terms of use.
We do not control the independent privacy practices of other organizations.
We encourage you to review the applicable privacy information before providing personal or financial details to an external service.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Our activities and services may evolve, and we may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in how we operate, handle information, or meet legal requirements.
When we revise the Policy, we will post the updated version on our website and change the date displayed at the beginning of the document.
If a change materially affects how we collect, use, or share personal information, we will provide additional notice or seek consent where required by applicable law.
The version published on our website will identify the Foundation's current privacy practices. We encourage visitors to review it from time to time.
